The acceleration of digital transformation caused by COVID-19, sparked a huge surge in the number of cyber attacks in the ASEAN region in 2020, evident from Interpol’s ASEAN Cyberthreat Assessment 2021 report.

Based on the current cyberthreat landscape, the financial repercussions caused by cyber attacks is projected to be at a whopping amount of USD 10.5 trillion annually by 2025! Amongst the cyber attack trends identified, Business E-mail Compromise, Ransomware and Crimeware-as-a-Service were more prominent attacks targeted at companies.
